• Intake answers: loan type, hardship description, timelines, state, goals.
• Generated documents: details you enter for letter templates and PDFs.
• Transactions: limited billing details (handled by our payment processor).
• Support messages: questions, feedback, attachments you send us.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

• Usage data: pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, clicks, feature usage.
• Device & log data: IP address, browser type, OS, error logs.
• Cookies & similar tech: session cookies and analytics cookies (see §5).

1.3 Information from service providers

We may receive limited data from tools we use for hosting, analytics, email, and payments (for example, hosting services, Supabase for storage/auth, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and analytics providers).

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide and improve the Services (triage flow, calculators, letter generation).
• Create, store, and deliver your requested documents.
• Communicate with you (transactional emails, alerts you opt into).
• Process payments and manage subscriptions (via our payment processor).

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as needed to run the Services:

• Service providers: hosting, storage, analytics, email, payments, logging.
• Legal & safety: if required by law or to protect rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not share your data with lenders or government agencies unless you ask us to or we're legally required to do so. You are responsible for sending any generated letters to your servicer.

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion (see §8).

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session continuity, and analytics cookies to understand usage and improve features. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may break core functionality.

6. Payments

We use a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe) to handle transactions. We do not store full payment card numbers. Your use of payments is subject to the processor's terms and privacy policy.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate information.
• Limit use/disclosure of sensitive information (if applicable).
• Opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not "sell" personal information, and we do not knowingly "share" it for cross-context ads).
